Susan Cohen, aka "Sue," is retired from a career in nursing.  After many years of performing direct patient care and staff instruction in the ICU as well as other hospital departments, she retired from the position of Administrative Director of Quality Assurance.

 

Susan was an experienced horsewomen competing in equestrian sports including dressage and eventing.  She stumbled into performance dog sports by pure chance and bitten by the agility bug, she began competing with her Golden Retriever "Boomer".  She has been involved in rescue and local canine groups and started up "BEADS" (Big Easy Agility Dogs).  Unfortunately that succumbed to Hurricane Katrina.  She has also been involved in Obedience, Rally, Lure Coursing, Tracking, Herding, Nose work and now Barn Hunt.  Her Golden "MoonPie" has also appeared in 3 movies.  She is a co-founder of NOLA Barn Hunt Friends, LLC, whose first Barn Hunt Trial was held September 20-21, 2014, in Kenner, Louisiana.  She states that "Perhaps I am most proud of "Zip" who was our MACH 4 Border Collie.  After a paralyzing spinal injury, she went on to thrive and even returned to agility in her wheels".  Click here on "ZIP" to take a look at her youtube video.  But be warned, you may need a tissue...or two. And click "HERE" for more videos.  For additional videos, including videos of Barn Hunt, check out her Youtube channel, sumico95.
